Hello there. I'm a writer and editor with more than two decades of experience under my belt. My journalism has appeared in a motley crew of publications including TIME, Fortune, In These Times and The Cambodia Daily. In 2017, the anthology I conceived and edited, The Age of Inequality, was published by Verso. Sadly, it is more relevant than ever.

I've been a newspaper reporter and copy editor. I've edited national magazines, "e-books" and an actual book. I spent a few years working in higher ed communications. I've also written (and ghostwritten) an array of content across the interwebs for national nonprofits and Fortune 500 companies: white papers, case studies, blog posts, annual reports, opinion essays, newsletters. My B2B work has focused on the healthcare, technology and banking sectors. My nonprofit work taps into my very wonkish tendencies.

I come to my work with a global perspective forged in part through international travel. I have lived in Sri Lanka (on a Fulbright scholarship) and in Cambodia. I now reside with my family in Western Massachusetts, where I ride bikes. A lot.

In an era of growing specialization, I consider myself a wide-eyed generalist (I'm a liberal arts college grad) who knows how to translate complex subjects into intelligible, compelling stories. As a full-time freelancer and editorial consultant, I draw on a few different areas of experience and expertise that go beyond top-notch writing chops. These include reporting, editorial planning and project management, and custom content.
